How pricing works
Your price has two parts: transport, and a customs deposit. They are separate, on purpose — customs charges vary from barrel to barrel, so hiding them in one flat price would mean somebody always loses.
Online-store packages (Amazon, SHEIN, Temu…)
- $2.50 per pound, paid by card in your account.
- You pay the weight we measure at our Miami or Montreal warehouse, not the estimate shown when you add the order.
- Billable weight is the greater of the scale weight and the size: length × width × height in inches ÷ 166. Rounded up to the next pound.
- Minimum 4 lb ($10) per package: receiving, labelling and delivery cost the same for a tiny package.
- High-value electronics (phones, tablets, computers, smartwatches, game consoles, cameras, drones): $45 per device, whatever their price. If the weight price is higher, you pay the weight price. Accessories like cases and chargers are charged by weight.
- Your package ships as soon as its shipping is paid.

Bulky but light items, like bedding or pillows, are charged by their size: they take as much room on the plane or ship as something heavy. Tip: ask the store for the smallest packaging, or group several small orders.
1. Transport price
The price shown by the estimator is the transport price. It covers ocean freight, Montreal loading, Haiti port handling, sorting, and delivery to your chosen option — warehouse pickup, or home delivery in a metro, city, or remote zone. It does not include Haitian customs duties or taxes.
2. Customs deposit
Haitian customs duties and taxes are charged on the declared value of your goods, so they vary from barrel to barrel. Instead of hiding them in a flat price, we collect a deposit based on your declared value, then reconcile it after clearance. The deposit is collected in your account portal after you add your shipment — not at transport checkout, which charges transport only.

Example
A Montreal barrel, transport $250.00, declared value $800: you pay $250.00 + $325 deposit = $575.00. If customs actually charges $96, we refund $229. If it charges $140, we refund $185. If it charges $316, we refund $9. The deposit protects both sides — you never pay a flat price that hides a large customs bill, and we never absorb one.
How the deposit is settled
- Any excess deposit is refunded after clearance.
- Any shortfall must be paid before delivery is released in Haiti.
- The final customs amount is Haitian customs' assessment, not ours — the deposit is an estimate, not a fixed tax.
- If customs revalues a barrel because contents or value were under-declared, the difference is yours to pay.
What you must declare
- A numbered inventory in French, barrel by barrel: contents and estimated value for each.
- Contents and value must be true and complete. Under-declaration can delay clearance and increase the bill.
- Prohibited items are returned, not shipped — see the prohibited items list.
Door-to-door delivery
- Home delivery is available only in approved zones. The estimator shows metro, city, and remote prices.
- If an area is unsafe or unconfirmed on delivery day, delivery becomes warehouse pickup for that package.
- Delivery is held until any customs shortfall is paid.
Special cases — individual quote
Barrels declared over $3,000, and barrels containing alcohol, tobacco, or new electronics, are quoted individually. Excise duties on those goods can be 20–50% or more, so a standard deposit does not cover them.
Customs deposit bands are estimates based on Haiti's published tax structure (duty, verification fee, TCA, and fund levy). They are not a guarantee of the final assessment. Transport prices are in USD.
